Is Ann Arbor famous for any kind of restaurant or food in particular? What's the local favorite?
As a university town, Ann Arbor is home to an abundance of cheap eateries and food carts, as well as your typical--and pricier--fine dining restaurants. Interestingly, Ann Arbor supports mostly independent joints and less fast food chains. Ann Arbor's specialty, the fragel, is a raisin bagel that has been deep-fried and rolled in cinnamon sugar. Once ubiquitous, now they can only be found at the Bagel Fragel on Plymouth Rd or certain Paneras.
