While not officially a dog park per se, Lake Eola in downtown Orlando is especially pet friendly. The park consists of a one mile walking path, several dog-friendly restaurants, and of course the lovely lake itself. Lake Eola also hosts a few dog-related events over the year, including Paws in the Park, a fundraising pet walk around the park. Avalon Dog Park, a division of Avalon Park, is a small but charming, leash-free play area for pooches, with a grassy area for playing, sidewalk for walking or running, and restrooms and benches available for its two-legged visitors.
