What's the weather like in Avondale?
Avondale has classic Arizona weather. Hot and dry during the summer with temperatures in the 90s, and in the winter, it's mild. Doesn't get much lower than the high 30s even in really cold weather. Doesn't rain much either. Only about 8 or 9 inches per year. If you don't like humidity this is the place to be!

One of the best places for being outdoors with pets in Avondale is Friendship Dog Park. Located on McDowell Rd, this dog park has a separate small dog area, benches, shade, and water spigots. There are also other, non-dog-specific parks in Avondale, including Loma Park, Fred Campbell Park, and Coldwater Park, but dogs must be kept on leash. Larger parks lie outside the city limits, including Estrella Mountain Regional Park to the south and Phoenix South Mountain Park to the southeast.
