Like any large metropolitan area, food from all parts of the world can be found somewhere in the city--and, based on its proximity to the ocean, some of this food features seafood. And, like most cities in California, many restaurants showcase the area's fresh, local, year-round produce. San Diego does have a reputation for it craft brewing scene, with an emphasis on very hoppy beers. Does San Diego have a good school system?
Public education in San Diego is provided by various independent school districts. The majority of students in the city, however, attend schools belonging to the San Diego Unified School District, which is the second largest school district in California and includes 11 K-8 schools, 107 elementary schools, 24 middle schools, 13 atypical and alternative schools, 28 high schools, and 45 charter schools. Serving over 130,000 pupils, the San Diego Unified School District was rated better than 49.2 percent of school districts in California and 20.9 percent of school districts in the county. Therefore, San Diego's school system isn't the best in the state, but it isn't the worst, either.

My daughter will be moving to San Diego very soon. She is looking for a studio or 1 BR apt ($800 range)in Hillcrest area. She has very limited budget. Parking
Hillcrest 1 bedroom apartments usually range from $1000 to $1500 and parking can be surprisingly competitive, especially near University Avenue. Mission Hills is another nearby neighborhood that can be a good spot to find a less expensive apartment.
