San Diego does have a reputation for it craft brewing scene, with an emphasis on very hoppy beers. AleSmith Brewing Company, Stone Brewing Company, Ballast Point Brewing Company, and Port Brewing Company represent a few well-known local breweries.
Does San Diego have a good school system?
Public education in San Diego is provided by various independent school districts. The majority of students in the city, however, attend schools belonging to the San Diego Unified School District, which is the second largest school district in California and includes 11 K-8 schools, 107 elementary schools, 24 middle schools, 13 atypical and alternative schools, 28 high schools, and 45 charter schools. Serving over 130,000 pupils, the San Diego Unified School District was rated better than 49.2 percent of school districts in California and 20.9 percent of school districts in the county. Therefore, San Diego's school system isn't the best in the state, but it isn't the worst, either.
