What are some quiet neighborhoods in Brooklyn?
Marine Park in Brooklyn is one of the quietest areas even though it's very friendly and neighbors talk to each other over the back fence. Brooklyn Heights is pretty quiet too even though it looks across at Lower Manhattan. It's mostly low rise little row houses so it has a neighborhood feel to it too.
What neighborhoods in Brooklyn are good for eating out?
All thirty of Brooklyn's neighborhoods have some great places for eating, but my two favorites are Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights. Both have a good vibe. A lot of places are doing organic, but the best one is Ziggy's. Really amazing and one of the best iPod music selections anywhere!

What would an ideal weekend be like in Brooklyn?
An ideal weekend in Brooklyn involves taking in the sights of this culture-rich New York City borough. Take a stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge and soak up the breathtaking views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Statue of Liberty. Visit the Brooklyn Museum, the second largest art museum in New York City, and check out the magnificent Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Don't forget to walk over to Prospect Park where you can spend time at the zoo, the Audubon center, or possibly enjoy an outdoor concert during the summer months. Catch the sunset from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade with a clear view of the Manhattan skyline, and then wind down the day with a tour and tasting over at the internationally renowned Brooklyn Brewery.
How is the nightlife in Brooklyn?
Brooklyn has an excellent after-dark scene. It differs, however, depending on which neighborhood you're in. Downtown Brooklyn has most of the tourists and a great view of the Manhattan skyline, Williamsburg is more bohemian, Prospect Park is more moneyed, and Gowanus and Red Hook are artististic communities. The Williamsburg bar scene has places like AKA potion, Barcade, and Goodbye Blue Monday, named after a Kurt Vonnegut novel.
Is Brooklyn a good place for younger people?
Yes, Brooklyn is a great place for younger people. First of all, plenty of other young people live in Brooklyn, so there is no shortage of social options. It's also a lot cheaper than Manhattan, and you tend to get more space for your money, apartment-wise. As far as nightlife is concerned, it does depend on the neighborhood, but generally there are countless bars and music venues, as well as a burgeoning restaurant scene for all budgets. The arts are also a very big part of Brookyln, with many galleries hosting shows. For those without cars, Brookyln also boasts an excellent public transportation system.
