Riverside Apartments for Students
Within a half mile of the campus (that means you can walk!), there are loads of great places to eat. There are three places that border the campus boundaries, The Wing Stop, Big Tuna and Oasis, a vegetarian haven. Otherwise, most nearby restaurants are found on Magnolia Avenue. For good old diner food, check out the Happy Dinner there and for Mexican, the hands down favorite is Don Jose.
If you want to combine listening to some live music with dinner, Lake Alice Trading Company is really good. At Liam's there's also good music and a very down to earth crowd that you'll find friendly. You'll find plenty of movie theatres and other places for those times when you just don't want to study!
Student life at La Sierra University is simply fantastic!

I'm looking for a safe area of Riverside for my son to get an apartment. He is attending CBU and would like it in that vicinity, if it safe. Any ideas?
As far as the safety is concerned, the safest place is around the campus because safety guards always patrol the campus. It means the farther you are from the campus, the more it is dangerous. So you should try to find an off campus housing that is near the university. Presidential Park and Ramona area will be good place to find a safety apartment.
