Florida State University Off Campus Apartments
Ready for an Apartment near FSU?
Florida State University is located in Tallahassee, which is also the capitol of Florida. But, with another university in town, it is far more college oriented than one would think. FSU has 41,000 students and 81% of them live off campus. The streets and areas closest to campus are the oldest. Just slightly beyond them are new high rise complexes with every kind of amenity imaginable. With great beaches a little over an hour away, you may want to have a car. Biking to campus is an option for class days so keep transportation in mind when you search for your FSU apartment.
Places to eat near the campus include all the usual chain ones, but there are a number of more local establishments that are great. Gordo's is a favorite that serves Cuban food, and Po' Boys serves Cajun. Most in the university neighborhood cater to students tastes and wallets. The further you go away from campus, the more expensive it becomes but when the parents come to town, it's fun to splurge.
The Tennessee Street strip is where most students find their favorite bars. It's close to campus and there are a number of great bars to choose from. Bullwinkle's gets high ranking and almost any night, the girls drink free. Late Night Library is great for techno dancing. For just plain old bars, stop into Poor Paul's and Down Below. Both are great spots to just hang.
You'll get into the Seminole experience in no time but if you want to read some more, check out www.fsu.edu.
