Why should I move to Muncie?
With a population of about 70,000, Muncie is best known as the home of Ball State University and the birthplace of the Ball Corporation. Muncie is a little over 60 miles from Indianapolis, so Muncie residents can easily enjoy what the big city has to offer while simultaneously living in a smaller, more manageable city. Although Muncie does experience some crime near the city center, the surrounding areas boast extremely low crime rates and excellent public schools. Muncie is home to several museums, including the Academy of Model Aeronautics, as well as the Cardinal Greenway, part of Indiana's longest rail trail.
