Are there any libraries or cultural destinations close to Kalorama Heights?
The Kalorama Heights area is perfect if you want ethnic diversity in your library selections. Easily accessible are Korean, Indian and Islamic libraries. The nearest public library is down on 24th Street NW and it's a dandy one. The West End branch is really good. Since it's embassy row territory, the buildings are lovely to look at but in the middle of it all the Textile Museum is really good. Not only are the exhibits more interesting than you'd think, but the grounds are beautiful for walking or sitting either.
