Are there any good parks in Goose Island?
There aren't any parks on Goose Island itself, but just across the bridge to the east are both Stanton Park and Seward Park. Both parks have outdoor basketball courts and baseball fields, as well as lots of green space to just run around. Seward Park is slightly larger, and has a number of sports and arts programs for all ages.

How much can I expect to pay in heating bills this winter in a Chicago apartment?
You’ll find that many buildings include heat in the rent amount but if you opt for an apartment in an older building where heat isn’t included, the landlord by law has to provide approximate monthly costs to you. Neighborhoods like Lincoln Park or Lakeview, for instance, have charming older buildings where you’ll pay your own heat bill. Check the cost in advance, and know the gas company has a yearly averaging plan that is super convenient and makes it more affordable to stay toasty.
