Are there any museums or exhibits close to Crestwood?
The grand Hillwood Estate Museum and Gardens is the 25-acre former home of Marjorie Merriweather Post turned museum, located in right in Crestwood. Today the estate houses the mansion, filled with Russian Imperial and 18th Century Art, and 13 acres of surrounding visually stunning Japanese Gardens. Nearby on Connecticut Avenue sits the famous Smithsonian National Zoological Park with over 2,400 animals made up of over 400 species. The beautifully landscaped 163 acres are home to an array of cheetahs, elephants, zebras, camels, apes, hippos, giraffes, and many more animals living in simulations of their natural habitats. But the zoos hands-down biggest attraction is the giant pandas exhibit with the famous Mei Xiang, Tian Tian, and their offspring Tai Shan.
