  • Are there any good places for brunch in Bridgeport?

Certainly - the Coffee Pot and Mail Drop on South Archer Ave is popular, and Nana on S Halsted is new but becoming very popular. You can fill your belly at the Healthy Food Lithuanian Restaurant, or get some down to earth munchies at Ramova Grill. Polo Cafe and Catering as well as Pancho Pistola's serve Bloody Mary brunch - but service days can be limited.

  • Are there any libraries or cultural destinations close to Bridgeport?

There are so many cultural type places within walking distance to Bridgeport that your head will spin. The Zhou B Art Center, Mutherland, and loads of art galleries will give you everything from music to art to theatre. There's a large public library smack in the middle of Bridgeport so that's walkable too.

  • How much can I expect to pay in heating bills this winter in a Chicago apartment?

You’ll find that many buildings include heat in the rent amount but if you opt for an apartment in an older building where heat isn’t included, the landlord by law has to provide approximate monthly costs to you. Neighborhoods like Lincoln Park or Lakeview, for instance, have charming older buildings where you’ll pay your own heat bill. Check the cost in advance, and know the gas company has a yearly averaging plan that is super convenient and makes it more affordable to stay toasty.

  • I am looking for an apartment rental in a building with a pool. How can I find these buildings?

When on our search results page for Chicago Apartments, expand the Search by Amenities box and select "pool."
