MyNewPlace is the fastest growing online apartment search site thanks to its awarding-winning site design and search functionality. We're located in downtown San Francisco, close to BART and lots of locale attractions.

MyNewPlace is a fast-paced startup with approximately 50 people. The marketing team is responsible for the user experience on our Web site and for driving higher and higher visitors.

As an intern, you will have first-hand view of the nuts-and-bolts of a consumer internet business: How do we build a relationship with our users? How do we find more of them? How do we make money? Depending on your hours, your particular skills and company needs during the time of your internship, you will be involved with one or more of the following activities:

• Gathering, tracking, and analyzing key performance metrics to provide actionable feedback and recommendations to your colleagues on the marketing team
• Researching and synthesizing key industry and competitive trends
• Supporting our paid or organic search marketing efforts
• Viral and social marketing
• Writing site content
• Supporting development of new features or content on our site
• Supporting e-commerce and advertising partners

Requirements:

• Superb quantitative skills-you are a pro in Excel
• Self-motivated and very detail oriented
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Heavy user and aficionado of FaceBook and other social networking sites
• Familiar with HTML and other Web related development tools
• Can-do attitude and high energy level
• Great attitude
• Excellent academic credentials
