Day Celebration honors the founding veterans, members of the original Zephyrhills Colony, but also celebrates the service members who have resided in the community throughout its long history. For more than 100 years, the Founders Day Parade has filled Main Street with participants in period garb. The marketplace, food court, and events and fun centers of the celebration envelop several blocks of downtown. This is a one-day event, but is the city's largest and most popular.
City Parks and the Wa
Eight parks and several indoor recreation centers make up the city's park system, with the relaxing expanse of downtown Zephyr Park and its WaterPlay sprayground earning the pinnacle position among these venues Handball and tennis courts, picnic pavilions, playgrounds, lake fishing, and lakeside fitness paths are among the parks other attractions. A wide, peaceful oasis, with ample shade provided by mature oak trees, Zephyr Park is a prime destination for families, particularly in the dog days of summer when the kids romp safely in the interactive waterpark. Alice Hall Community Center attracts visitors even when weather conditions discourage outdoor recreation.
