Wonderful Woodhaven S

Each October, the residents of Woodhaven flock to Jamaica Avenue for the annual Wonderful Woodhaven Street Fair. The street is shut down and locals are treated to entertainment, shopping, dining, a parade, contests, and more. The festival is meant to bring the community together and is one of many throughout the Queens area. Locals take part in the festival by setting up booths, being part of the entertainment, or just by getting out to support their community by doing nothing but having fun. The festival is designed around the diverse culture that permeates the community and tries to incorporate the many different traditions and styles of each one.

Forest Park

Forest Park is by far the most famous and popular park in Woodhaven and possibly all of Queens. The rich history surrounding the carousel that is housed in the park cause people to gather here daily for some good old fashioned fun. The park not only features this carousel, as you will also find entertainment for kids on Saturdays, including silly clowns, magic shows, and sing-alongs, to name a few. The park is also an ideal place for picnics, walking your dog, riding bikes, and just taking strolls on beautiful spring, summer, and fall days.
