The Winn Memorial Library is officially the Woburn Public Library. Constructed in 1879, the funds for the library were provided by the local Winn family who specifically did not want the facility to be named after them. Nevertheless, the community still refers to this historic site by the name of the family that assisted in its construction. The library itself features an interesting architectural design that gives the building a distinguished appearance. In fact, the designer was none other than famed architect H.H. Richardson. Well over a 100 years after its construction, the building stands as a communal focal point enjoyed by all.
