Wilmington is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, with a population of about 22,000. Because of its low crime rates and excellent public schools, Wilmington is a great place for families with school-age children. Public education is provided by the Wilmington School District, which was rated a 7 out of 10 based on test scores. Wilmington's location 25 minutes north of Boston also makes it ideal for those that work in the city but prefer to live in a more sparely populated place. In addition, there is one lake in the town, Silver Lake, that is open for swimming during the summer.
