Whitestone Greek Fest

Each summer, the community of Whitestone gets together to attend The Holy Cross of Whitestone Greek Festival. The local Greek Orthodox Church hosts the annual festival to help raise money for the church so they can continue to assist the community. The festival showcases authentic Greek dancing and food, as well as rides, games, vendor booths, a craft fair, and much more. The festival is a great way for neighbors to come together to support one of their local houses of worship and get to know one another, while starting the summer off with some fun.

Frank Lewis Park

Residents who want to spend some time outside playing with the kids usually head over to the Frank Lewis Park. The park is right on the water's edge in Whitestone and provides a grassy area for families to play, picnic, and just enjoy the nature that surrounds them. Park-goers enjoy the basketball, handball, and bocce courts, as well as a playground with benches located along the water and paths. You will even find a launch site for kayaking or canoeing, which allows residents to take to the water for the day and explore the sights of the city.

Sports at the Local B

If you want to end a busy day with a cold beer, or you are just looking for a spot to watch your favorite team play, Stone Tavern is the place for you. This local bar offers a few large screen TVs with games playing at all time, a traditional Jukebox in the corner, and even some video games to keep those who are not into the sports teams of the night entertained. The bartenders always seem to know your name, with the bar opening at noon and closing at 4 am, giving you lots of time to enjoy all this tavern has to offer.
