A Diverse and Vibrant Community
“Tranquility, Research, and Knowledge.” No, this isn’t ad copy for a new sports car; it’s the motto for the township of West Windsor, New Jersey. While it’s certainly a great town in which to drive a Lamborghini, West Windsor offers much more than great roads. Consider the city’s excellent school district and that its two high schools ranked highly in New Jersey Monthly’s “Top Public High Schools” list. It’s no wonder the township excels in education, as it provides the peace and quiet necessary to study Shakespeare and social studies alike. With a population of just 27,000, West Windsor has plenty of breathing room. Its residents don’t just sit around reading Macbeth and textbooks all day, however. According to Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh, “West Windsor is one of the most diverse and vibrant communities in the State of New Jersey.” Whether you’re a Shakespeare-loving biker or an accountant with a wild side, you’ll love living in West Windsor. Just don’t go speeding around in your Smartcar like it’s the Indy 500.
Parks and Programs
A word of advice to prospective West Windsor renters: if you’re thinking about starting a living room wrestling league, think again. Not only will you most likely injury yourself and destroy your apartment, but you’ll miss out on all the great recreational facilities and programs maintained by the township’s Division of Recreation and Parks. If you’re tempted to piledrive your roommate on the couch, head down to West Windsor Community Park for an afternoon of injury-free fun instead. With two tennis courts, walking paths, basketball courts, soccer fields, and so much more, this 123-acre park will help you forget all about sewing your Rowdy Renter costume. If you’re looking to meet other wrestling fans or you just need a good full-body workout, the city offers great programs year-round, like Brazilian jiu jitsu and dance aerobics. Rent one of West Windsor’s amazing apartments and have fun all year without breaking bones or fine china.
Festivals and Fine Art
Moving into a new apartment is exciting, but things can get dull fast if you don’t venture from the couch and explore your new town. Lucky for you, West Windsor offers great cultural opportunities year-round to keep you from searching between the cushions for change. If you’re in the mood for great tiramisu and even greater conversation, you’ve got to attend the Mercer County Italian American Festival at Mercer County Park. With live music, delicious food, bocce ball tournaments, and more, this event will make up for all of the time you’ve spend in your new pad watching reruns of “Family Feud.” A trip to the West Windsor Arts Center will certainly help get that buzzer sound out of your head. Whether you want to take in a folk concert or practice your painting skills in a workshop, this center is the place to do it. Live in a town that does arts and entertainment well and rent one of West Windsor’s fine apartments. Just think: you can buy an extra funnel cake at the Italian American Festival with all that change you find in the couch.
