    Within West Henrietta proper is only Riverbend ParkWest Henrietta proper, but there are many nearby. Black Creek Park, for example, is located 20 minutes to the northwest in North Chili, New York, and offers hiking, soccer, fishing, and horseback riding, as well as sledding and cross-country skiing in the winter months. Mostly undeveloped parkland popular with wildlife and fishing enthusiasts, Oatka Creek County Park is located 20 minutes to the southwest in Scottsville, New York. One of the largest parks in the area, Mendon Ponds County Park, lies 20 minutes east of West Henrietta in Mendon and features 2,500 acres of woodlands, ponds, wetlands, and glacially created landforms.

    With only about 10,000 residents, West Henrietta isn't big on local sporting events. Fortunately for avid sports fans, nearby Rochester is. Located 20 minutes north of West Henrietta, Rochester was named the fifth-best sports town in the country by Scarborough Research in 2008. As far as professional sports are concerned, Rochester is home to the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres.
