Run by the town of South Kingstown, the fenced, 1.5-acre South Kingstown Dog Park has a separate small dog area and is open from dawn to dusk. There are also other places where you can take your pets in the Wakefield area as long as they are kept on leash, including the Great Swamp Wildlife Reservation, the Carolina Management Area, Beach Pond State Park, and the Woody Hill Management Area. The largest green space around, however, is Pachaug State Forest, located just over the Connecticut border in Voluntown.
