How is the public transportation system in Venice?
So-so. Since Venice is small and it rains infrequently, it's easy to navigate by walking, especially along the beach. The inland areas are slightly harder to reach, meaning a car, bike, or bus might be necessary. Santa Monica, Venice, and much of the West Side is accessible only by Metro bus. Sometimes, more than one bus needs to be taken, increasing trip times due to transfers and corresponding time gaps. The Metro buses are also affected by automobile traffic, meaning the ride will be longest during rush hour.
