Southwest Community F
Louisville's biggest event of the season, the Southwest Community Festival, is held at Valley Station's Valley Park. This community fest celebrates Southwest culture, as well as its people and businesses. The fun and festive events draw over 25,000 people to Valley Station each October, where they can take part in a variety of activities. Featured festival events include a car show, live concerts, and craft booths. There are also activity centers geared toward the interests of specific age groups, such as Kids City, Toddler Town, Men's Tent, and Teen City. Everyone from the family is sure to have a blast at the Southwest Community Festival.
Sun Valley Park
Over 200 acres of wooded and grassy parkland, Sun Valley Park is a beautiful place to spend the day enjoying the great outdoors. For those looking to catch a pick-up game or meet to play ball with friends, the park features a four ball fields, two basketball courts, four soccer fields, and four tennis courts. There is also a community swimming pool that opens up each summer, so swimmers of all ages can splash around when the weather gets hot. With picnic facilities and playgrounds as well, Sun Valley is the perfect place to spend a day with your family on a summer afternoon.

This family-owned diner is a huge part of the Valley Station community, and after just eating here one time, Kathy and Joe are sure to make you feel like family. Most importantly, however, they serve delicious food that will keep you coming back week after week. The burgers are known throughout the Louisville area and are also very popular for breakfast.
