Farmers Markets All Y

Often times, living in an area that gets snow every year means that you are not always able to purchase local fresh produce, but that is not the case in Urbana. This city is home to three different farmer's markets, all of which take turns being open for the different seasons. Locals can shop at the Market at the Square from May until November, then the Holiday Market from November through January when the Middle Market takes over. Living healthy, eating fresh, and buying local has never been easier for the residents of Urbana.

Discover Your Inner A

When Urbana locals say they love art, they are not kidding. Urbana is full of art and you can find it at almost any corner. In fact, there is so much art to be seen in Urbana that a guide had to be printed up to help people find it all with ease The Wandell Sculpture Garden at Meadowbrook Park is often a favorite stop, with murals that show off local artwork in a big way on large windows in the downtown area. You can also catch displays of local artists at the Artist Corridor.

Urbana is full of history that dates all the way back to the days of Abraham Lincoln. For those who want to brush up on their Lincoln facts or just enjoy a history lesson, the Champaign County Courthouse has a special exhibit set up in his honor. Come on down and learn all about Lincoln, his connection to Urbana, and the historic buildings that can still be seen throughout Urbana today.
