    The weather is Union City is fairly mild year-round. Summers bring average temperatures in the 60's and highs in the 70's, while winters bring cooler temperatures, with averages in the 50's and lows dipping into the 40's. Annual rainfall is about 15", much lower than the national average. With such low rainfall and comfortable temperatures year-round, Union City residents can take full advantage of the hiking, fishing, and horseback riding at the beautiful nearby Garin Regional Park.

    Drigon Dog Park, located on Mission Boulevard and 7th Street, is Union City's premier dog park with well-kept grass, plenty of parking, and loads of amenities for the local pups. Drigon features three separate fenced-in areas: 1 for small dogs, 1 for large dogs, and 1 private area, as well as an agility course, and an assortment of doggie toys. The owners are friendly and the dogs love to socialize with each other here. Drigon also offers conveniences such as benches and shaded areas, waste bags and receptacles, restrooms for the human patrons, and water fountains for both the two- and four-legged visitors. The park is open from Tuesday through Sunday from 6am until 10pm, and closed on Mondays.
