    Union might be best known for its hot dogs from Galloping Hill Grill, which was featured on the Food Network. A Union institution, Galloping Hill has been making hot dogs and burgers for over 80 years in the same location. As a township with nearly 57,000 residents, however, Union is also home to a plethora of different cuisines, including Thai, Italian, Chinese, and Japanese, among many others. Union also is home to all the typical fast food joints in addition to many pizza parlors.

    Yes, Union is home to one museum: the Liberty Hall Museum at Kean University. The historic 50-room Victorian-style mansion houses extensive collections of antique furniture, ceramics, textiles, toys, and tools owned by seven generations of Livingston and Kean families. Nearby Newark is home to the Newark Museum, which houses 80 galleries of collections relating to the arts and natural sciences, including American, Asian, African, and Classical. The Montclair Art Museum, located 20 minutes north of Union in Montclair, specializes in American and Native American Art.
