Because Tifton is located on Georgia's coastal plain, it has some unique and lush natural flora that sets it apart from the rest of the state's natural landscape. If you are a fan of the outdoors in general or are an enthusiast of local plant life, check out the Coastal Plain Research Arboretum, which is open to the public as part of the University of Georgia's Tifton Campus. At this arboretum, visitors can stroll through 38 acres of forest and wetland in order to learn more about the area's habitat, with new additions to this great resource continually being made.
