Thornton is a planned community which lies seven miles north of Denver, and has a population of 117,000. Originally sleepy farmland, the city is a smart and recent addition to the Denver area. It was established in 1954 with forward thinking plans such as a single tax that covered everything from parks to garbage pickup. What neighborhoods in Thornton are good for eating out?
The Northglen area off Thornton Parkway has a nice concentration of good restaurants. Some of the really good chains are out there along with a number of ethnic places. Otherwise, all along I25, there are loads of places to select from.
How is the nightlife in Thornton?
Located 9 miles north of downtown Denver, Thornton has a diverse community with a strong commitment to quality of life and environmental issues.
