Thornton, Colorado

Thornton is a planned community which lies seven miles north of Denver, and has a population of 117,000. Originally sleepy farmland, the city is a smart and recent addition to the Denver area. It was established in 1954 with forward thinking plans such as a single tax that covered everything from parks to garbage pickup. Today, it is highly desirable area for both commuters and for business who located in Thornton.Although extensive public transportation links to Denver are planned for the future, life in Thornton requires a car. Outdoor Paradise

Thornton's situation gives its residents all the amenities of large city living.
