Rose Show Festival
Thomasville's biggest community festival is the annual Rose Show, which for several decades has graced the streets and homes of this already beautiful community with thousands of blooming roses. City gardens boast upward of 7,000 flowers, and many individual, green-thumbed residents and garden clubs join in, planting and showing their own gardens. Held the final week in April, the Rose Show fills the air in Thomasville with fabulous scents as rose growers from around the world compete for top marks. Street fairs, arts and crafts shows, garden tours, and parades are just a few of the events that pack the schedule of this three-day affair.
Hometown favorite and a growing success on the regional market, Grassroots has been serving up the most flavorful cup of coffee in town for years. Locally grown and ethically sourced, organic, fair-trade coffees are all you will find at Grassroots, where all roasting occurs in-house. This is how the Thomasville original achieves its signature blends, including Papua New Guinea Tribal Aromas and Rainforest Alliance Certified Organic Colombian Valle de Cauca. Grassroots sells its unique blends from its Broad Street location, which is also a full service coffee house, where live music, free Wi-Fi, great company, tasty eats, and fantastic coffee are always on the menu.
