Recreation for all Ag
The award-winning park district offers you a fantastic place to relax and play. Parks have somewhat equal disbursement, but the new neighborhoods tend to have more park and recreation space in them. Park Place is one of the major recreation centers, offering a thrilling indoor waterpark, a fitness center, daycare, running track, meeting rooms, and a gymnasium. Sunnyhill Park is fairly new to Streamwood residents, having first opened in 2007. It offers some of the best recreational activities in the area with a Frisbee golf course, a skate park, two playgrounds, a splash pad, and a host of sitting areas.
Streamwood is served by the second largest school district in all of Illinois, the Elgin Area School District U46, home to award-winning educational institutions. You will find a whopping 40 elementary schools, eight middle schools, and five high schools in this district. Of the 40 elementary schools, 30 are Title I schools, which means they have special programs in place to help students achieve the state minimum standards. This district also has its own special claim to fame, as Bartlett High School was named as one of America's Best High Schools by Newsweek magazine.
