Stockbridge is a great place to spend time outdoors. The Panola Mountain State Park located in the city offers residents 100 acres of land to explore as well as the Panola Mountain, which is nearly 1,000 feet to the peak. Various creek run through the land providing areas for fishing while the lush green of summer offers and excellent backdrop for a hike or picnic. Attracting attention as well is the Eagles Landing Country Club of Stockbridge, which includes a sprawling golf course, members' clubhouse, and areas for private events, such as weddings. In the city, large events happen annually, including the Ole Stockbridge Days.
