One of the best places for being outdoors with dogs in Spring Lake is on the beach that stretches along the city to the east. There are also various parks and lakes in Spring Lake. Devine Park and Edgemere Park both abutt water bodies, while Potter Park does not. To the west lies a larger forested area, Allaire State Park, which offers many trails within its more than 3,000 acres.
