What's a good neighborhood for families in South Jordan?
It depends on what you're looking for. Most of South Jordan is fairly safe; compared to other communities of similar population size, South Jordan's crime rate is noticeably lower than the average. However, between the city center and the area due west near Bangerter Highway, the latter is safer. As far as education is concerned, however, the city center's schools are better than those in the western region. Overall, many other families with children live here, making South Jordan a place where both parents and children are likely to meet other families and enjoy a family-friendly sense of community.
Does South Jordan have a good school system?
Not really. Public education is primarily provided by Jordan Public Schools, which consists of 100 schools serving over 85,000 students. Of these, six elementary schools, two middle schools, and three high schools serve South Jordan pupils. This district was rated better than 30.0 percent of school districts in Utah and 43.7 percent of school districts in the country. In addition, South Jordan is home to Paradigm public charter high school and three private schools (American Heritage, Mountain Heritage Academy and Stillwater Academy).
