Each year, the Sonoma International Film Festival (SIFF) is held in the heart of downtown Sonoma. Featuring over 90 films, the festival screens a multitude of independent features, documentaries, shorts, world cinema, and also some Spanish language films. Each of the screenings is held at intimate venues in downtown Sonoma and are attended by famous filmmakers and celebrities. In past years, stars such as Bruce Willis, Robin Williams, and Susan Sarandon have walked the SIFF red carpet. SIFF is held for five days each April, featuring the best local cuisines and delicious wine from Sonoma vineyards as well.

Take a Stroll Through

Find some peace and quiet in nature with a stroll through the beautiful Quarryhill Botanical Garden. This garden is one of the world's pre-eminent Asian botanical gardens, with one of the largest collections of wild-collected Asian plants anywhere in the world. The garden's main mission is to conserve plants and slow species lost. Quarryhill is currently conducting many projects to grow endangered Asian plants, such as the Magnolia sinica. Planted in the gardens of Quarryhill, this is actually one of only two of these plants in the U.S. So, come view the splendor of the plants at Quarryhill and help support these projects.
