Sam Davis

History buffs should be sure to visit the Sam Davis Home and Museum. Davis was a Confederate soldier during the Civil War and was executed when he refused to disclose information about messages he was carrying. His home was built on the banks of Stewarts Creek in 1810 and has been renovated only once. The home sits on 160 acres of land and you can enjoy tours that will walk you through the story of Davis’ life. The home has nine rooms in total, as well as slave quarters to tour and learn from located at the back of the property.

Parks and Recreation

Smyrna puts emphasis on its beautiful parks and greenways to allow you a place to enjoy the great outdoors. With over 10 parks in the city, finding one that meets the needs of your family comes easy. The Lee Victory Recreation Park plays home to baseball fields, football fields, and basketball fields. Tennis courts and picnic areas also line part of the park. The Gregory Mill Park will delight your little ones with its built in splash pad where kids and kids at heart can enjoy water activities on those hot summer days. Restrooms and grills are also available as well for your convenience.
