The Roundtop Filling Station is a blast from the past and offers visitors an exciting look at an historic landmark right in Sherwood. Sherwood only has two venues listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Filling Station is one of them. Constructed in 1936, this site is one of the earliest gas stations in the area that still survives. It has an interesting history, as the station was built for the Pierce Oil Company that itself was one of the so-called ‘baby standards’ that came into existence after the monumental government-forced break up of Standard Oil in 1911.
The Greens at North H
One of the great aspects of living in Arkansas in general, and Sherwood in particular, is the great weather. Stellar weather means plenty of opportunity to hit the links for a few rounds of golf. When this is the case, there is no better place to tee off than at the Greens at North Hills. One of the best aspects this golf course is that it is accessible to the public and provides a competitive golfing climate nestled in a scenic environment. Not only can visitors get a few rounds of golf in, but there are also golfing lessons available to sharpen your game skills.
