Wight-Meyer is Bullit County's oldest winery, offering up delicious award-winning wines from its Kentucky-grown grapes. The rural location of these vineyards gives the winery a laid back atmosphere that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying some of the region's best wines. In the summer, ask to sit out on the covered patio. From here, you can enjoy a view overlooking the rolling vineyards. When there, also make sure to try their Diamond, a unique wine for the region that is superb in taste. For something a little sweeter, get a taste of one of their dessert wines, made from blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries.
Country Music Show
Every Saturday night, Sherpherdsville residents gather to hear the very best classic country music around at the Shepherdsville Country Music Show. This is the county's longest running show, run by the Reid family for over 30 years. It is definitely a must-see for all country music lovers, but even if country is not your thing, there is still something for everyone to enjoy. Each show features country, oldies, rock, and gospel singers, with a little bit of comedy thrown into the mix. It is also a family-friendly show, so feel free to bring the kids to enjoy an evening of music and laughter.
