Sebastopol has seen a shift in recent decades from the land of apple orchards to true wine country. Nearly all of the town's rolling farmlands are filled with vineyards, growing the juiciest wine grapes to create the area's best wine. This means that Sebastopol residents have access to all of the best wines right on their doorstep. Most of the area's wineries and vineyards are open the public, with tasting tours and restaurants as well. Some of the most popular include Iron Horse Vineyards and Lynmar Estate Winery, each of which are the perfect place for a romantic date night or a celebratory drink with friends.
Apple Blossom Festiva
Known as the Sweetest Little Fair in Sonoma County, the Gravenstein Apple Fair has been Sepatopol's most anticipated event for over 40 years. Held each August, the Apple Fair is located at Ragle Ranch Park. With two stages featuring live music, arts and crafts vendors, delicious food vendors, wine from the local vineyards, and lots of contests and activities, the fair has something for everyone. But, do not forget the festival's staple: heirloom gravenstein apples. The Gravenstein Apple Fair celebrates these sweet yet tart apples, featuring a host of delicious products and baked goods made from them.
