How is the school system in Scranton?
The Scranton School District provides public education to the students of Scranton. This district comprises twelve elementary schools, three middle schools, and two high schools. The schools run the gamut. Located near the Poconos Mountains and many other parks and forest, hiking, camping, mountain biking, as well as skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months, are all readily available in the area. Is Scranton pet friendly?
It depends on what type of pet you have. Scranton is home to one off-leash dog area, which is a boon for dog owners. Operated by the City of Scranton, this park has a separate small dog area. There are also other parks in town where you can take your pets as long as they are kept on leash, including McDade Park and Robinson Park. The largest green space in the area, however, is Eales Preserve at Moosic Mountain, a 2,250-acre property with miles of hiking and bicycling trails.
