Looking for a great gym? No need to look further than the Saint Peters Rec-Plex, a municipal fitness center with a variety of activities available to people of all abilities. The Rec-Plex pool was used for the 2004 Olympic Diving Trials, but it has more than just a pool: The Rec-Plex also has a competition-size ice rink, indoor track, and free fitness classes. The Rec-Plex also sponsors athletic events outside its walls, including a number of triathlons and other endurance events. The Rec-Plex even has free personal trainers to help you get yourself into triathlon-ready shape.
Saint Peters has no less than 25 parks, with one of the more extensive systems of city parks in its home county. At one of the city's parks, you can go fishing, practice archery, tour on a bicycle, or go for a walk on one of many paved trails. The park system includes the 18-hole Saint Peters Golf Course. You can register online for arts and recreation programs hosted by the parks via the online Rec-Connect system as well, which you can even get to via the free wireless Internet available in some of the parks.
