There are many golf courses to choose from in the Baltimore area, but residents of Rosedale need not travel far to play on one of the best. Rocky Point Golf Course was designed by Russell Roberts and opened in 1971. The course finds a nice balance between being inviting enough for beginners and finding ways to challenge pros. The course runs right along the edge of Chesapeake Bay and preserved wetlands run through parts of the course making the view almost as rewarding as the game. Pros and Hackers Magazine called the course "A gem worth discovering".
St. Clement Mary Hofb
There is great religious diversity in Rosedale and the greater Baltimore area. The churches here serve not only the spiritual needs of their members, but also the earthly needs of the less fortunate members of nearby communities. St. Clement Mary Hofbauer Church, a Catholic community located in Rosedale, is a great example of this ethic. The church runs the St. Clement school, a respected private school in the area, as well as the ever-growing church full of community-minded worshippers. In addition to these works the church prepares meals for local soup kitchens, runs its own soup kitchen, and delivers Christmas gifts to those in need.
Restaurants in the Rosedale area draw from the cultural heritage of the region, as well as seafood and produce available locally. The Original Philadelphia Style Pizza and Subs restaurant draws on a rich Italian heritage, as well as borrow from food traditions from northern neighbor Philadelphia. Pizzas are always a great option to feed the whole family, but anyone will tell you that it is imperative to try the overstuffed cheesesteak sandwiches. For slightly more upscale, yet affordable, fare check out Dellis' Bar and Grill featuring many fresh seafood options, as well as an impressive beer and cocktail list.
