Lake Ray Hubbard
Lake Ray Hubbard is one of the things that draws people to Rockwall, and for good reason. There are many things to do on the lake like boating, white bass fishing, and swimming. Easy lake access is available at Elgin B. Robertson Park, with two boat ramps and plenty of park space. The park is also home to the Bay View Marina, where boat moorage and good times are both plentiful. Closer to town is the SH-66 Public Boat Ramp. While a little lighter on amenities, it is easy to access and located in the middle of town.
Rockwall families are happy to know that their children are getting a high-quality education at Rockwall schools. This is thanks to the Rockwall Independent School District, whose drive to get every child the education they need never falters. The RISD has much to offer: Community events occur regularly at the schools, connecting the school and the larger community. Students can also join more than 100 extracurricular clubs and activities to keep their learning experience lively. Hard numbers also testify to the quality of the district with above average SAT scores as compared to the state average.
Rockwall Parks & Recr
Though Lake Ray Hubbard is rightfully one of Rockwall's biggest draws, the other parks around the city are nothing to shake a stick at. There are many parks throughout the town, each offering something special: Dalton Park provides a soccer field, Fox Chase Park a basketball court, Harry Myers Park a disc-golf course, and those are just three of many. Rockwall also has two swimming pools, so if you love the water you are set year-round. Fitness classes are available for all ages, kids to seniors. Basically, if you are physically active there is no way you will be disappointed by Rockwall.
