Coronado Performing Arts Center

<p>The Coronado Performing Arts Center is a historic theater in downtown Rockford that offers a full slate of Broadway shows, concerts and other performances. Opening in 1927, the theater was created with the intent of a unique theater experience, including Spanish castles, Italian villas, oriental dragons, starlit skies and a Grande Barton Pipe Organ. The theater received an overhaul in 2001 and now includes a state-of-the-art performance and entertainment facility, known as the Coronado Performing Arts Center. Other popular venues in Rockford include the Metro Centre arena and Rock Valley College's Starlight Theatre.</p>

Midway Village & Museum Center

<p>The Midway Village &amp; Museum Center is the premiere resource for Rockford history. The museum holds over 100,000 artifacts from Rockford's past, while the village is made up of 24 historic buildings, either reconstructed or original from the 1830s. The Museum also features exhibitions of Rockford's major industries and includes a Doll Museum and old millhouse.</p>
