Outdoor Life in Roche

One of the most noteworthy points about Rochester Hills is how conducive it is to residents who enjoy an active, outdoor lifestyle. The area has nearly 1,000 acres of parkland available, spread out over nine different parks. Most of these parks are pet and family friendly. The Thelma G. Spencer Park also has a lake for swimming during warmer months. Fishing is also popular in Yates Park, where the Clinton River makes its way lazily through the park. Wabash Park offers picnic tables and plenty of space for both children and the young-at-heart to play.

Excellent Schools

Rochester Hills provides a number of the country's best private and parochial schools. If you are raising a family and want the best education for your young ones, you will find many options here. Rochester Hills Christian School provides privatized schooling for grades K-12, and received a rating of 3 on the "Greatschools" rating system. A Waldorf educational school is available as well, providing privatized schooling for grades K-12. This school takes a uniquely different approach to learning that is very highly rated by the diverse group of parents whose children have attended the school.

The Festival of Hills

One of the biggest events of the year in Rochester Hills, the Festival of Hills takes place in June of each year, inviting residents of other Michigan cities and towns to join in the fun. This summer-welcoming festival will become one of your favorite experiences while living in Rochester Hills. You can purchase fresh produce and baked goods, as well as enjoy the games and rides are readily available.
