Beautiful, Historic Robbinsdale

Robbinsdale sits just six miles from downtown Minneapolis, yet has a distinctly rural feel. This green, forested suburb of the “City of Lakes” has nearly 14,000 residents. It is just far enough from the big city to remain quaint and quiet, yet close enough for its residents to never be without life's necessities. The first community was organized in 1860 around Crystal Lake and so it was called Crystal Lake Township. Agriculture and the railroad industry were chiefly important in its early days and the Crystal Lake area was a popular location for duck hunters. Andrew B. Robbins purchased 90 acres of land in the area and became the namesake in 1893.

Today, Crystal Lake remains a popular hotspot for all the locals from fishermen to joggers and runners, and it’s sure to be a place that you and your family will love to visit as well. Beautifully landscaped, Crystal Lake has an encircling promenade and is capped on the north and south by Sanborn Park and Lakeview Terrace Park, respectively. Both parks feature playgrounds, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and outdoor hockey rinks. Other parks include Northport, Lakeside, Twin Lake Beach, Humphrey, and Lions Park, which all border Twin Lakes; with most locations hosting baseball diamonds and playgrounds. Numerous other lakes and parks dot the area and from your new apartment, you and your family will be in a prime location to enjoy the beautiful outdoors!

A Place for Families

Robbinsdale is a great place to both rent an apartment and raise a family, and not just for the outdoor activities available at every corner. The school district that serves the area, Robbinsdale Area Schools, was named to the 2011 National AP Achievement List, an honor bestowed to only 400 districts nationwide. Plus, while the city remains largely residential, it isn't without great options in dining and shopping. The more than 75 tenant Brookdale Shopping Center is an indoor mall highlighted by Macy's and Barnes & Noble.

A Short Drive to the Big Metropolis

Minneapolis is home to the main campus of the University of Minnesota as well as the Art Institutes International Minnesota and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
