Outdoor Life in Rivie
In Riviera Beach, people choose to enjoy Florida's traditionally warm climate and spend as much time as they can outdoors. Swimming is one of the most popular activities, with beaches lining the eastern edge of the area. Altogether, 13 oceanfront or inlet parks exist for swimmers, stretching all the way from Tequesta to Boca Raton. Peanut Island, situated just off the coast of Palm Beach, is open from early morning to evening each day. Fishing aficianados will find plenty of options for deep sea fishing and sailors can park their ships and boats at the local marinas.
Riviera Beach is home to, or close to, many of the best country clubs in the South Florida region. The Riviera Country Club is one of the most popular locations in the area for true country club life, offering golfing, dining, and even just luxury relaxing for members of the club and their guests. The Ibis Golf and Country Club is open to both the public and members, featuring an upscale golf experience, dining, swimming, a spa, and a gym. Atlantis Country Club offers all of the same amenities, and claims to be the number one golf course in the Sunshine State.
Shopping in Riviera B
Shopping is an experience only a short distance away. Riviera Beach has plenty of excellent retail shopping choices locally, but is close enough to the center of Palm Beach that nearly anything can be purchased with only a short drive. Ocean Mall, Southwind Plaza, and North Village Square all provide central shopping areas for all-year-long summer clothing and accessories. Ocean Mall is the smallest, with just a bank and a few shops, while South Wind Plaza is the largest, with nearly 60 stores, restaurants and service shops available. For all your essentials, head on down to North Village where a grocer and pharmacy are in residence.
