A Day at the Park

Riverdale features three city parks that are all in proximity of each other: Travon D. Wilson Memorial Park, located on Church Street; Church Park on Wilson Road; and Banks Park at the intersection of Main and West streets. The city of Morrow, which is just east of Riverdale, is home to the popular Reynolds Nature Preserve. Also a few miles to the east is Lake Spivey for fans of water sports, such as boating and fishing.

This city has a rich and diverse culture, which is available in its offerings in the arts. Okoye’s Art Gallery offers many items for sale, and has special showing frequently. In nearby Jonesboro is the Arts Clayton Gallery, which offers monthly exhibits, plus artists workshops and master classes.
