Richfield, Minnesota

Richfield is considered an inner ring suburb of Minneapolis/St.Paul and is a very popular area with commuters to those cities. The 35,000 residents live in seven square miles of excellent lifestyle. Since Richfield is so small, the downtown area is very walkable, and transportation to either of the big cities is available, but as with most Midwestern cities, you'll probably want a car. So, when looking for your Richfield apartment, do look for adequate parking.

Richfield was originally settled in the 1850s, but it wasn't until the 1950s that the city began to flourish primarily as a great residential area. Today, it's biggest source of economic revenue is Best Buy for whom the city is headquarters.

Nature's Way

The Wood Lake Nature Center is a fantastic 150 acre facility in the middle of town that was one of the first of its kind in the country. With walking paths and protected wildlife, it makes a great place to spend time. There is also an ice arena (hockey is very popular here) as well as an aquatic center within the town limits. With major venues, museums and shopping available in either Minneapolis or St. Paul, you can be assured that there's always something to go see or do while your Richfield apartment remains in a wonderful residential area.

Local Caribbean

You'll find many good chain restaurants in Richfield as well as wonderful locally owned places. Aribel's is a Caribbean cuisine place where you can get Guyanan food. Naviya's Thai is highly rated for the freshness of their ingredients and use of spices.If you're a beef eater, by all means try out Champp's or the Ground Round for burgers or steaks. There's bound to be something very good near your Richfield apartment, and it won't take long to pick a favorite.
