Idaho's Summerfest is celebrated annually in Rexburg and is a great source of civic pride. It is an international dance and music festival set against the backdrop of the old Wild West. More than a local summer festival, Summerfest draws performers and attendees from around the globe to take part in the many events over a period of four days. There are music and dance performances ranging from urban funk, to traditional Asian, to good old fashioned line dancing, just to name just a few. There are also workshops on global humanitarianism, street fairs, and even a parade to make the event complete.
The Rexburg Idaho Tem
Even to the non-believer, the sight of the Rexburg Idaho Temple is awe inspiring. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints built the temple with shining white quartz walls and a spire that reaches over 100 feet into the air, topped with a golden statue. The construction of the temple has caused the Mormon population in Rexburg to greatly increase, which has benefited others in the community by stimulating the economy. The temple offers daily tours for those who wish to simply marvel at the architecture and adornment inside and outside the Rexburg Idaho Temple.
